There has yet to be a Woody Allen movie I haven’t enjoyed, including his latest, To Rome With Love, which I saw this weekend. If pressed to pick my favorites, I’d have to say: Annie Hall, Manhattan, Match Point, Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
And while there are many aspects of each of these films that secure their place in my tops list, it pretty much comes down to the leading ladies. With that in mind, here’s an ode to Woody’s women and a look from The Archive that captures their individual style.

This oversized button-down may be a little bright for Diane Keaton’s Annie Hall, but we think she’d top it with a vest, say lah-di-da and be on her way.

Mariel Hemingway’s Tracy would probably be wearing this YSL oxford as part of her Dalton school uniform in Manhattan.

Neither Scarlett Johansson or Rebecca Hall had especially memorable looks in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, but we thought this vintage Halston had the sort of relaxed romance that Hall’s Vicky exuded.

Match Point captured the super posh London life many of us dream about, and that the crafty (and sultry) Scarlett Johansson found herself in the middle of. While she could put on just about anything and make it sizzle, we though this LBD with cutaways would be a good fit.
