With swimsuit season upon us and the resurgence of retro swimwear in the market, I thought it was only right to honor the great Esther Williams and her many suits.

I’m sure many people would agree that her dives from nosebleed inducing heights or jumps through rings of fire are far more impressive feats, but I continue to be in awe of her flawless appearance. Smearless lipstick, no run mascara and, most of all, insane wardrobe that is as beautiful underwater as on dry land.—Ilana
